Custom software development for nonprofits and government

Do you need a custom software application, or a custom mobile app, for your organization? MapLight is your trusted software development partner. We specialize in working with nonprofit organizations and government agencies, and we are a nonprofit ourselves.

Whether you have a specific custom software application in mind, or just a technical problem that you’re trying to solve, we can help. Our user-centered process starts with us listening to and understanding your needs, so we can help you create a solution that will best accomplish your goals.

MapLight’s software development team has experience with many software languages and technologies. We can help you by building databases, mobile apps, reporting and analysis tools, payment processing tools, and any other data-driven application. The software we create for you will make your organization more efficient and effective.

MapLight has years of experience building efficient, user-friendly software. We partnered with the California Secretary of State to build open source tools that help Californians see the money behind their elections, including Power Search and the Quick Guide to Props. With the League of Women Voters of California Education Fund, we produce Voter’s Edge, a comprehensive guide to California candidates that serves 2 million visitors each election year. For other clients, we have produced complex database and workflow applications that simplify operations and improve organizational productivity.
